I have always been fascinated by how things are made and how they work. Being dyslexic my natural inclination is towards practical projects rather than academia.

 

Whilst at school at Leighton Park I was lucky enough to have two fantastic mentors who encouraged and inspired my interest in design technology. Access to Solidworks, a 3D modelling software, allowed me to model projects which helped tremendously in my university degree.

 

I am also very keen to encourage others to venture into the world of design. My goal is to one day offer an apprenticeship teaching practical and heritage skills to people like myself.

Now with 3 years experience in CAD design & project management working within the joinery industry, I am looking to expand my skills and experience by working directly with customers to help create furniture to last generations.
